Crystal Springs is no longer with us as they wanted to move to a more wholesale model. As you know we are not a reseller or middleman.
You buy directly from the farmers. They wanted us to order as much as 2 weeks in advance, and in combination with that and their short best before dates was making it very difficult. They also increased the price 2-3 times within a month or two and we had no notice of that.
Vital Greens is an organic dairy who gives us lower prices, but being organic the retails prices are obviously quite a bit higher… as much as $16 retail for a 4L milk in some cities. So what we are going to do, and this is for you guys only, (members only!)… we are going to reduce the prices of the milk to be more comparable to the $9.50 price from Crystal Springs.
In typical retail markets there is something called MSRP which means Manufactures Suggested Retail Price and this is used to make sure that people do not sell below the suggested price. There are serious implications if you do…one of them being they will not sell to you anymore. So although they have not given us an MSRP, if our prices to you become public, this may cause enough of an uproar that you may not be able to buy the milk anymore.
Very important. We have a membership agreement that you agree to when you sign up as a member and we want you to know with great seriousness that you do not share with the public what you are paying for milk here. This is a membership privilege.
