Cooking: The Art of Connection
Farming Heritage
In many ways, the art of cooking a good meal has become eroded, if not lost completely, by the consumer these days. Many go to the grocery stores for meals that are already prepared. Its all already done for us.
The grocery stores have become a type of fast food for people. No one has the time to cook, so they say.
Honestly, it could be that no one really knows how to anymore. It’s sad to see how we have evolved. Cooking anything is a mystery for so many of us. That’s why it’s so crucial to see your recipes up here.
We need to know that we can learn from you by following your recipes and producing our own meals. It is a personal touch that let’s us get closer to you and your produce.
As well, there is an added benefit for you. As consumers take interest in your recipes we will be able to direct them to your products.
Now your recipe has become a good source to people to find what they need to make your family recipe.
It’s just great for the community and great for you!!!

Increase Your Sales
- Link your recipe items to your products
- Create a loyal customer base
- Customers who believe in you!
Did you know you can link the ingredients in your recipe directly to the products you are selling? It’s a great way to increase your sales!
Many farmers originate from other parts of the world, so you have history, heritage and culture. Urbanites, as Amy calls us, don’t have heritage really, beyond what stores provide. As you share your family heritage with your customers, it brings meaning and purpose back into our relationships.
Farming is not trivial though it has been trivialized by box stores. This is a common theme across our entire Canadian Culture. Meaning comes from connection to the land and from that place you bring a healing back to our communities!
