1st: Know your vision
First things, and you may already have this sorted out…. is that what is the message you want to convey to people. Are you a place with heritage? Are you new and entrepreneurial and have new visions for your farm and wares? Do you have organic produce? Why do people love talking to you and buying what you sell? What have your customers said?

I have always said, “If you are driving and looking at the cows in the field, well your car will be in the field too!” The same applies to your vision for your product. If you are price conscious, people will know, If you are excited about what you do, people will know that too! Take time to sort stuff out. Putting product up is the easy part!

2nd – Uploading your shop banner
Go to your vendor dashboard.
Go to Settings and then Store Page. Here, add your contact information, your farm location, email and any other information you want your customers to see.
You can upload any picture you want that represents you, your product, your farm. It’s up to you. The best photos are simple, striking, upbeat, expressive. One thing to know is that it is YOU that is the difference in your product. Never forget that. In a world where manufactured items are all the same, it’s you, your service, your story that people connect with.

Right now we are only taking payment through e-interac from customers, so skip any other settings pertaining to shipping settings etc. If you have a product like soap and are able to ship your products, contact us to get your shipping modules set up.

You will hear a lot about SEO
Yes it is important but not to lose sleep over it. You are not competing on google. Everyone has a different opinion about SEO (Search engine optimization). It’s like searching for the gold at the end of the rainbow and there are people who swear by it. Here, you will come up in a search for your location, and which market you serve. We can set up vendors as features to keep it even and fair, but your market is within Growing from the ground up. The customers are here from word of mouth mostly, and from facebook posts and telegram. They are already looking for you and are on the site.
Product Tags
Setting tags for your product
You can set tags for your product. That is very helpful. Is your pork from a different breed of pig that makes the bacon taste different? Are your potatoes fingerlings? Do you have a unique way to harvest? All these things can be put in tags, like marbled pork, fingerling potatoes, or hand harvested. Of course organic is a big one. Anything that is unique and sets you apart, put it out there.
