I have been thinking about all our farmers and producers...
When we sent a note out to the farmers to get their stock updated and make sure they are ready to go ... And it was like a harvest time... or Christmas...
All this activity! There were new products coming in, adding stock, getting ready! Of course there are new vendors too! Everyone is super excited to be here with you and have their products for you to see!
We are all so blessed because we can eat such fresh food, beautifully taken care of, beautifully raised animals, cared for, nurtured....

A Wonderful new coffee vendor
|
We had a very interesting call with Sarah Hobson, an Alberta coffee vendor! Mountain View Roasterie. There is such an art to great coffee isn't there?! This coffee is roasted in Didsbury and they have many different roasts and are listing a few popular offerings to get a feel for what you might like!

I love coffee myself and I saw an interesting bean they had... Monsoon Malibar. I hadn't heard of it before. I had heard of Blue Mountain Coffee, a coffee that runs in the hundreds of dollars but not Monsoon Malibar and in asking her what it was and where it came from, I found out it is the secret ingredient in Italian Coffees! Imagine that! Here in Alberta! So much to learn.... !

Alissa, the owner of Let Us Produce...
She was a program developer for children and youth who had challenges and barriers. She had a growing family, wanted to include them in her work and still make a difference in the world. So began vertical farming! "My children, They come to work with me!" The kids come in and pick their dinner every day!

"The art picture... well that's funny! My friends were having a painting night and they wanted to come to my house because they wanted a charcuterie board too! So I was showing one woman how to make the meat rose, and someone else how to cut the brie... and this board was made by amateurs!"
