Boom Baby!

Why Frozen? Frozen food locks in essential nutrients that are lost when food is pasteurized at high heat (required for long shelf life). The shelf life of some pouches out there can be well over a year, meaning the ones you bring home might be older than your baby! Many pouches are puree’s made with powdered ingredients and water.

Boom Baby Food
We saw the need to make great baby food that made sense… no filler, low sugar, and lots of nutrient-dense whole foods. Our hope is that with more babies eating good, nutritious, real food, the world will grow up healthier and look to preserve the precious land we have through sustainable agriculture practices. A commitment to caring for the world comes from enjoying the things it offers.

MANAR ACRES
All Natural ▪︎ Non-GMO ▪︎ 100% Nutrition!

While talking to Aryssa of ManAr Acres, she shared with me that in a recent study done on Radish Microgreen, it was discovered that microgreens are a super food for sure and had 40% more nutrients gram for gram than the whole radish plant!

Microgreens Are Good For People With Poor Kidney Function
If you have impaired kidney function, either from kidney disease, chemotherapy, or an inherited genetic trait, it’s generally recommended to avoid foods rich in potassium. Fresh vegetables tend to fall into this category, so they often get relegated to the “avoid” list.
However, microgreens contain much lower potassium levels, so anybody with poor kidney function can enjoy the health benefits of microgreens without worrying about increasing potassium intake.

Spelt is an ancient grain. It comes as a whole wheat & is full of nutrients and fibre. An attractive alternative to wheat flour, Spelt flour can replace wheat flour with minor recipe changes and is enjoyed by many who cannot tolerate wheat as it has less gluten. Highly nutritious, spelt has a deep, nutty flavour with high fiber, iron, niacin, B vitamins, magnesium, and manganese. It also has high water solubility, so its nutrients are easily absorbed into the body.

Meet Thea!
Jonathan and Thea Avis have been in the Food Industry for over 30 years, both in Retail Bakery shops and Wholesale Manufacturing. In 2014, they decided to develop a new concept in the casual dining experience by perfecting meat pie recipes from parts of Canada, Britain and the former colonies. Meat Street Pies was born. It started with a mobile Food Truck and has now morphed into a downtown market location.

A Family Business
...Their eldest son, Rob and family moved to a farm just south of Edmonton – and is the source of the grass fed / grass finished beef that we put into the meat pies. Thea’s grateful for the support the kids offer – cuz Jon’s absence has left a big void. So it continues to be a family run operation with a lot of help from the wonderful Teresa – who won master chef status in the Philippines before coming to Canada to be a Canadian.
