Our new
MEET AND GREET
Our zoom sessions are a great way for you to meet the farmers who are growing and producing your food. You can see who they are, ask your questions and learn about the challenges they face today, the fun and the joy they have doing what they love.
|
Our last session there were questions for the farmers about avian flu. We had never thought to ask that one! And Mark Entz talked a bit about the bio security of his farming. We need to learn more about that... quite interesting.
|
This session we have Karl Denwood and Tyler Hardy.

MEET AND GREET YOUR FARMERS
KARL DENWOOD, is a sheep farmer out of Arrowwood.
He has very interesting stories to tell and you should see his facebook blog! He will be talking on May 3rd. When I met with him I was so struck by his inner soul strength and it is easy to see why he is a farmer! Trustworthy, sincere and true.
|
Tyler Hardy lives in Coalhurst and has carved out a niche for himself in making quality sausages and supporting local farmers. You will see him in farmer’s markets, paired up with local restaurants and on facebook!
|
Take a look at Peak Quality Sausages and ask him yourself how he makes his artisan creations!

Sausage Creations: Tyler & Hope Hardy
A husband and wife team in Coalhurst Alberta have over a dozen different sausages! Bison, Chorizo, Honey Maple to name a few. When people build what they love to do, the results are nothing short of astonishing. Having bought their sausages we can truly say we give them the thumbs up. The taste, the texture... its all there. They hand pick the meat they will use and have so much to share about the smoking process ... A great learning experience.... and don't forget the taste too!I wish you could taste a sausage over the internet!

New Posts!
We are putting together some new features in our blog section. One is going to be called "A Farmers' View". Having spoken to so many farmers, I just love their sense of humour and when life is tough, laughter is the best way through.... I can't wait to post some of their humorous stories! The second post category reflects my own loves in life, the gentle kind things. Linens, Lace and Grace. The third one is around reviews. It's an unusual type of review because it reflects on my life choices and giving you information about the farmer's products that we try.

This series of blogs I am going to write under is a review of not only the products the farmers produce, but also about health related concerns. Food has been under scrutiny for a long time which lead to the wholistic food movements and natural eating. Farming practices by the large agribusinesses have come under fire for their inhumane treatment …
